# Warehouse selection (pending)

Depending on your business and your business model, you can select either you have only 1 or multiple sources of stock supply (we call it warehouses).

The default selection is 1 warehouse, and you can choose the source location from the list of Shopify locations you set up.

Alternatively, you can select that you have multiple warehouse, and decide which point of sales get their stock from which.

Upon selecting "I have multple warehouses" option, you will be able to select which point of sales get stock from which location.

A Shopify location can distribute its stock to multiple points of sales (DingDoong locations).

The AVAILABLE stock of that product/variant will be updated on DingDoong.

The total stock count of points of sales mustn't be higher than the stock count in that Shopify location.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.dingdoong.io/inventory-management/warehouse-selection-pending.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
