# Choose Promotions
Group Order can be used to meet promotional requirements. Therefore, creating an attractive discounts & promos strategy is one of the best ways to motivate your customers to use Group Order. DingDoong doesn't directly help you create discounts, but you can do so in Shopify.
Make sure you have created [Discount Codes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2PUj41t5dQ) in[ Shopify](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2PUj41t5dQ) first, then clicked on the **Show promotion for group order** checkbox before setting up discounts for the Group Order function.

Only [Discount Codes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2PUj41t5dQ) are used for Group Order since Automatic Discounts cannot be synced to the app.

Follow the steps below, and you'll be on the right track:
**Step 1: Sync Shopify discounts to the app**
Hit the **Click to sync** button to give DingDoong permission to sync discounts from Shopify to the app
**Step 2: Choose Discounts & Promos you wish to apply for Group Order**
Hit the **Open** button to open the popup where all Shopify discounts are synced. Pick the ones you wish to use one by one
**Step 3: Enter a custom discount title**
Free to enter a discount title to your preference, try to make it appealing enough to your buyers
**Step 4: Pick a color for the discount appearance**
Free to pick a color to your preference, try to make it different between the discounts
The same goes for any additional discounts.
